Summer in Texas is here. And with that comes choosing candle scents that set the mood for hot sunny days. From new releases to limited summer scents, here are a few of my favorite picks.
Even though I like Voluspa and Anthropologie candles. I have my heart set on candles from small businesses. Their unique scents and the stories behind each candle is incomparable in my opinion.
Here are three of my favorite small businesses that I continually purchase candles from. Hotel Lobby Candle, Coco’s Dream Candle & Co. and Emme NY Candles.
Hotel Lobby Candle
Hotel Lobby Candle scents and vessel designs are inspired by her destinations throughout the world. From custom hand painted glass vessels to choosing the fragrances that transport you to that place. She has grown her company to larger and popular retailers to ship worldwide.
This summer she released two new scents inspired by the Italian Amalfi coast, Positano and Capri. My favorite scent from her new release is Positano. It’s a warm, sophisticated, orange citrus scent that is not overly sweet.
Coco’s Dream Candle &Co.
The limited summer scents from Coco’s Dream Candle and Co. are absolutely stunning! I love her candle scents and designs that she tops with different crystals which I have collected a few by now.
Starting with my favorite, Slice of Summer. With notes of Watermelon, passion fruit, lemonade. A fruity scent that captures what summer is really like to me.
Botanical Sweetness has a beautiful flower that sits on top of the candle. It has a fresh floral scent. This candle smells like a bouquet of flowers with a hint of peach.
Golden Hour is topped with small crystals, gold flakes, beautiful sunflowers and the sun and moon, making it unique. This candle smells like sunflowers with oak wood. This candle has a wood floral scent.
Emme NY Candle
Emme NY Candles are scents that are inspired by Asian scents and flavors. All of her candles have wooden wicks and I enjoy hearing the crackling sound, that is just so relaxing to me. Emme NY has released 6 new summer limited edition candles. These are the ones I liked the most.
Hinoki, being Japan’s sacred and elegant wood, is my favorite candle in this collection. It has a warm wood and lavender scent. This candle is great for nights. Putting your body and mind into ease.
White Peach wax Melter. This has a scent of peach and nectarine, definitely sweet and fruity.
Bingsu is a Korean shaved ice dessert made of frozen cream or milk. To me, this is the sweetest scent from this collection. It’s truly a tropical scent of mango and coconut cream.
Lychee is one of Emme NY’s signature candles and best sellers. Which makes sense with its well balanced warm, sweet and fruity scent.
Having my home smelling good is important to me as it adds warmth and lightens the mood, making my space feel more inviting no matter what season it is.
I hope that these summer scents inspire you to support small businesses and also give them the opportunity to enjoy the inviting scents to your home.
