Halloween is the season that we started the book collection for our girls. And we will continue to build a fun reading environment. I like to read and it is important for my kids to also immerse themselves in the wonderful world of reading. I have this picture in my mind of building a shelf full of books for my girls, creating a space just for them to sit and read.
Now my two youngest daughters are below the age of six. They still can’t read so I get the honor to read to them and they read back to me according to the pictures in the pages. It’s the cutest thing ever!
My kids are bilingual (Spanish/English) . We try for our girls to learn Spanish, so we were glad when two of the books that we picked were translated in Spanish. ‘Gustavo the shy ghost‘ and ‘Leila the perfect witch.’ And of course there must be a pop up book that they can enjoy.
There are so many great Halloween books that there was no way we could possibly purchase them all. But as the years go the library will continue to grow.
What are your kids’ favorite books? If you have any books that I must have for my girls let me know. Happy Halloween!
